Nutella Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette old-style bread
  • handful of season fruits (banana, strawberry, apple)
  • or

  • punch Nuts and kernels
  • Nutella spread

Instructions

  1. Over a grill, toast the baguette on both sides. Spread Nutella over the toasted baguette. Top with nuts or kernels, or some fresh season fruits.(e.g. banana, strawberry)

Maggi (TM)Dip with Tortilla chips

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of powdered Maggi (TM) soup (chicken preferred)
  • 500 grams of labneh (strained yoghurt)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 packs (large) tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Maggi (TM) pack in water.
  2. In a serving bowl, mix Labneh with the mixture above.
  3. Top the bowl with lots of tortilla chips.

Nutty Buttons

Summary: when salty and sweety isn’t enough

Ingredients

  • 100 grams Pretzel Rings

  • 100 grams Chocolate’s Kisses (e.g. Hershey’s)
  • 100 grams Hazelnut and Pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 100 C.

  2. In a waxed sheet, spread pretzel rings out in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  3. Place one Kiss inside each pretzel ring.
  4. Bake for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and immediately press one nut on top of each kiss.
  6. Allow to cool completely so that the kisses can harden back up.

Variations

Replace nuts with M&m’s

Banana, Peanut-Butter, Nutella, Halva and Honey Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 banana

  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons Nutella
  • 2 tbsp Halva (Haleweh)
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • pinch of crushed nuts

Instructions

  1. Slice banana into little disks, about 1-1.5 cm thick.

  2. Mix the remaining ingredients, and add mixture onto a sandwish.
  3. Drizzle honey on top of them.
  4. Add the nuts.
  5. Wrap the sandwich.

Pumpkin Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 Ltrs (or 4 cups) chicken broth

  • 750 grams pumpkin puree
  • 0.8 grams chopped fresh parsley
  • 105 grams chopped onion
  • 0.3 grams chopped fresh thyme
  • 2/3 clove garlic, minced
  • 80 ml (2 shots) heavy whipping cream
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat all the ingredients together.

  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes uncovered.
  4. Puree the soup in small batches (1 cup at a time) using a food processor or blender.
  5. Return to pan, and bring to a boil again. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for another 30 minutes, uncovered.
  6. Stir in heavy cream.
  7. Pour into soup bowls.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley.

  • 200 grams thick, strained yoghurt

  • 20 grams of honey (or enough to your taste)
  • 10 grams of chopped mixed nuts

Instructions

  1. Place the yogurt in your favorite bowl.

  2. Pour the honey over it.
  3. Sprinkle nuts on top.

Quick Notes

refreshing snack yet low in calories for those bad days.

you can replace nuts with chocolate.
