Endives with Ham

Ingredients

  • 5 endives (bitter base cut and washed)
  • 5 ham/jambon (sliced)
  • 1 1/2 cup bechamel sauce
  • 1 cup Emmental or any other grated cheese to your preference
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven on 220°C.
  2. Cook the endives in a pot of salted water for 15 minutes then let them drain.
  3. In a pan,  add garlic, onions and olive oil and cook till light brown.
  4. In a pot, wrap each endives with one slice of ham, then add the garlic and onions on top of each wrap.
  5. Pour the béchamel sauce on top of the wrapped endives and be generous with grated cheese on top of it.
  6. Bake it till golden brown about 15 minutes.
